A homeowner in the United States is facing online criticism after Latino workers accused him of trying to avoid paying for a recently completed fencing job by allegedly involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to a report by ContraRéplica, the workers had been hired to install a wooden fence. After completing the job, they claimed the homeowner refused to pay and allegedly sought immigration intervention, apparently hoping the workers could be detained.
The workers were reportedly released and later returned to the property, where they dismantled the fence piece by piece. Video of the incident was shared widely on social media, generating strong reactions over the alleged use of immigration enforcement in a labor dispute.
One worker also accused the homeowner of taking a chainsaw belonging to the crew, an allegation that has not been independently verified.
