Authorities in Miami-Dade County have identified the five people who died after an Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport, bringing new details to a tragedy that shocked South Florida.
The victims were identified as Rolando Alemán, Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, Julio C. Pineda, Carlos Acosta Fajardo and Javierkis Reyes Quevedo. All five were inside a minivan carrying workers from an airline cleaning company when the aircraft struck the vehicle.

The Boeing 767 was operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon. The aircraft had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it overran the runway and collided with vehicles near the airport.
What is the condition of the other victims?
Authorities said three people remain hospitalized, including two in critical condition. The pilot and co-pilot survived and were released from the hospital.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the accident, examining weather conditions, the aircraft’s landing and runway safety factors.
