Thermos announced the recall of more than 8 million thermal containers after a defect was found that could e when opened. According to official reports, some lids can be forcefully ejected due to internal pressure buildup, creating a risk of impacts and cuts.

The measure includes food jars and beverage bottles from popular product lines sold between 2008 and 2024 in major stores and online platforms. Authorities reported at least 27 incidents, including several cases that required medical attention and three people who suffered permanent vision loss.

The company asked consumers to immediately stop using the affected models and contact the manufacturer to receive replacements or solutions at no cost. The recall is already causing concern among consumers because of the scale of the case.

Why were these products recalled?

Because the lid could violently pop off when opened and cause injuries.

Now the big question arises: how many households may have one of these containers without knowing it is part of the massive recall?
