Lewis Hamilton acknowledged that his radio messages during the Dutch Grand Prix did not represent his best side and decided to take responsibility for his comments toward Ferrari. The British driver finished fourth at Zandvoort after expressing frustration with the team’s strategy.
Hamilton believed Ferrari lost valuable time by keeping his teammate Charles Leclerc on track while he had more favorable tires. During the race, he complained over the radio: “Great way to lose time, guys. Good job!”
After listening to his messages again, Hamilton admitted that frustration led him to react in a way he does not consider appropriate. “It wasn’t the best version of me. I take responsibility for it and I’ll improve,” Hamilton said.
Is Hamilton sorry for criticizing Ferrari?
Yes. Although he continues to have doubts about some strategic decisions, the seven-time world champion said he trusts Ferrari’s project and the work being done by the team.
Hamilton finished fourth and remains involved in the championship fight, while Ferrari will look to improve its strategy in the upcoming races.
