Lionel Messi has once again attracted attention beyond the soccer field after making a major contribution to a project dedicated to children battling cancer.
Through the Leo Messi Foundation, the Argentine star donated 2.6 million euros, nearly $3 million, toward the construction of the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona. The specialized facility is part of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and was created to provide advanced care for children and teenagers with cancer.

The center covers more than 5,100 square meters and can accommodate around 400 pediatric patients, offering an environment designed to make treatment more comfortable for young patients and their families. The entire project cost approximately 30 million euros.
