A new Chinese luxury vehicle is preparing to enter the Colombian market with ambitions of competing against some of the most recognized names in the sports-car segment.
The AVATR 12, developed by AVATR Technology with backing from Changan, Huawei and CATL, is expected to arrive in Colombia after the group Vardi confirmed an agreement to distribute and import the brand.
The futuristic electric grand coupe is positioned as a direct rival to models such as the Porsche Taycan and Panamera. Its all-wheel-drive version combines two electric motors to produce 578 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
The AVATR 12 also features a 94.5 kWh battery, offering up to 700 kilometers of range under China’s CLTC testing cycle. Its interior includes Huawei technology and a large 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display.
Will Colombians be able to buy the AVATR 12 soon?
The brand’s arrival has been confirmed, although the exact launch date and local pricing have not yet been announced.
