A science content creator known as LabCoatz claims to have successfully replicated the famous formula after a year of research and laboratory analysis.
In a 25-minute video that quickly went viral, LabCoatz explains how he used mass spectrometry and other advanced chemical tools to identify the compounds present in Coca-Cola and recreate a homemade version. According to him, his replica matches not only the flavor but also the aroma and appearance, making it nearly indistinguishable in blind taste tests.
The investigation focused on decoding the beverage’s so-called “natural flavors,” traditionally kept secret by the company. As a result, the YouTuber produced a mixture that many tasters described as extremely close to the original, although experts warn that reproducing the exact ingredients outside an industrial setting remains highly complex.
Does this mean Coca-Cola’s formula is no longer a secret?
