The well-known South Korean company Samsung is about to take a historic leap in the mobile phone industry with its first triple-screen smartphone, known as the Galaxy Z TriFold. According to recent leaks, this foldable device will feature two hinges that allow it to transform from a conventional phone into a tablet of about 10 inches.
Some reports suggest that its official unveiling could take place before the end of this October, during the APEC Forum in South Korea, and that its price could be around $3,000.

With this launch, Samsung aims not only to expand the multitasking and entertainment experience, but also to reaffirm its leadership in the premium foldable device segment. However, some analysts warn that the high cost and hinge durability will be key factors determining its global success.
Could this new smartphone format convince us that we really need three screens on a phone?
It’s quite possible, but likely over time. Although the innovation is undeniable, its price and technical complexity position it more as a niche product than a mainstream technological shift. The true impact will depend on its accessibility, durability, and whether consumers see real value in having that many folds on a single device.
