The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed superstar Shohei Ohtani on the 15-day injured list, a significant move as the team approaches the final stretch of the MLB regular season. Ohtani has been dealing with discomfort in his right biceps and left knee, forcing him to miss six of the Dodgers’ last seven games.
The decision comes after weeks of monitoring the four-time MVP, with manager Dave Roberts saying the organization believes giving Ohtani additional time to recover is the right choice. His earliest possible return is September 23.

To fill his spot, the Dodgers are calling up Josue De Paula, one of baseball’s top young prospects. The 21-year-old outfielder has posted impressive numbers at Double-A Tulsa, including 27 home runs and 31 stolen bases this season.
Will Ohtani return before the playoffs?
The Dodgers expect him to have enough time to recover and prepare for the postseason, although his exact condition upon returning remains uncertain.
