Flying could become much more comfortable in the near future. United Airlines has unveiled an innovative concept for some of its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft: replacing the traditional middle seat with a shared console table, giving passengers seated by the window and aisle significantly more personal space.
The new configuration will be part of the Economy Plus cabin and will provide extra elbow room, along with a design intended to make long-haul flights more enjoyable. The airline aims to stand out by offering a more premium experience while maintaining options within economy class.

This initiative joins several other innovations recently introduced by United to enhance passenger comfort and modernize its aircraft fleet.
Will all passengers have access to these seats?
No. The new seating concept will initially be available in a specific row on the new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, meaning travelers will need to select this option when making their reservation once it becomes available.
