Currently, tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated after the Iranian military announced a $30,000 reward for each U.S. service member captured or killed and handed over to Iranian authorities. The measure was announced by Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami, according to information released by the state-run IRNA news agency.

Hatami said the initiative came after receiving numerous requests from people interested in participating in what he described as a financial support effort related to the conflict. He also claimed that Iranian women who captured or killed a U.S. soldier would receive twice the reward, although he did not provide details about how the payments would be made or where such actions could take place.

The announcement comes as Tehran demands the withdrawal of United States forces from the Middle East and maintains a particularly strong position regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important route for global energy trade. So far, there has been no known deployment of U.S. ground troops inside Iran, apart from a rescue mission carried out in April.
