James Harden avoided a conviction after a Texas judge dismissed a misdemeanor charge related to an incident that occurred in Houston on June 13. The decision came after the NBA star completed an alternative resolution program requested by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
The program allows certain cases to be resolved without resulting in a criminal conviction and may include requirements such as community service. Authorities did not publicly disclose all the details regarding the conditions Harden was required to complete.
The news comes as Harden’s basketball future is also drawing attention. The 36-year-old guard recently completed his 17th NBA season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 23.6 points per game.
