Patrick Clancy has opened up about the devastating loss of his three children and the emotional journey he has faced since their deaths in 2023.
In his first televised interview since the mistrial involving his former wife, Lindsay Clancy, Patrick discussed his grief, the loss of his youngest son and his decision to forgive Lindsay. Their children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, died after being strangled in their Massachusetts home.
Callan, who was eight months old, survived for four days after the attack before dying in Patrick’s arms. He recalled hoping that his youngest child would survive and said the experience changed his life permanently.
Why did Patrick decide to forgive his former wife?
He said he believes her actions were driven by severe mental illness and that holding onto anger would have consumed him emotionally.
Patrick also spoke about the intense public scrutiny surrounding the case and online conspiracy theories that he says distract from the importance of perinatal mental health.
Despite the tragedy, Patrick has begun rebuilding his life with his wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, while keeping the memory of his children alive.
