Kimi Antonelli delivered one of the most impressive performances of the Formula 1 season by winning the Italian Grand Prix after starting the race from 19th place.
The Mercedes driver took advantage of his strong pace and a well-executed strategy to quickly move through the field and eventually join the battle for the lead. In the closing laps, he overtook his teammate George Russell and secured a historic victory in front of the Italian fans.
The win is especially significant for Antonelli, as he became the first Italian driver to win at Monza in 60 years. It was also his seventh victory of the season and allowed him to extend his championship lead over Russell to 66 points.
