FBI raises reward to $100,000 for information on Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance

The FBI has increased the reward to $100,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of Nancy Guthrie, 84, or to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance in Arizona.

Guthrie, mother of television anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on February 1 in Tucson. Since then, authorities have intensified the search amid concerns that she may have been taken from her home against her will. Investigators report receiving more than 13,000 public tips since the case began.

The FBI has also released new details about a primary suspect, based on doorbell camera footage. He is described as a man of average build, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall, seen carrying a 25-liter black Ozark Trail Hiker backpack.

Authorities are urging nearby residents to review and share security camera recordings that could assist the investigation.
