The plane was carrying valuable cargo, as it was said to be transporting cash that was scattered upon impact. This led some civilians to attempt to collect the money amid the wreckage while authorities tried to secure the area.
What caused the crash?
Authorities are still investigating, but preliminary reports suggest the aircraft may have lost control due to a slippery runway or technical difficulties during landing. No official conclusion has been announced yet.
Bolivia’s president expressed condolences to the victims’ families and ordered a thorough investigation to determine the cause and prevent future incidents.
