Shooting in northwest Miami leaves one dead and another injured

Miami city police are investigating a shooting that took place last Friday night in a residential area in the northwest part of the city, leaving one person dead and another injured. Authorities responded around 8:30 p.m. local time after receiving a report of gunfire on Northwest 16th Avenue and 47th Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes but no occupants. The victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital; one of them died shortly after, while the other remains under medical treatment.

Miami officers are still collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage to identify those responsible, while the community demands answers about the motive behind the attack.

So far, no arrests have been reported. Police are urging witnesses and local residents to come forward with any information that could help clarify the crime.
