To complete the deal, Seattle sent third baseman Ben Williamson to the Rays, while prospects m and Tai Peete were sent to the Cardinals, who bolster their farm system with young talent and draft assets.
This move highlights the Mariners’ intention to remain competitive at the highest level after coming close to their first World Series appearance in 2025, reinforcing their roster with a proven and versatile Major League player (MLB).
How does Donovan fit with the Mariners?
He can play both in the infield and the outfield, giving the team flexibility and an offensive boost.
