Nvidia and Microsoft have announced a major strategic partnership with the artificial intelligence startup Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model. Nvidia will contribute up to $10 billion, while Microsoft will invest an additional $5 billion.
As part of the agreement, Anthropic will allocate $30 billion toward Microsoft Azure cloud services. The company also plans to use up to 1 gigawatt of computing capacity, leveraging Nvidia’s latest chip architectures such as Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin.
This collaboration strengthens the growing interdependence among the three companies and highlights how the AI market is increasingly concentrating around a handful of powerful players. Anthropic, recently valued at $183 billion, continues to expand rapidly within the enterprise technology ecosystem.
What is the main goal behind Nvidia and Microsoft’s massive investment in Anthropic?
Both companies aim to reinforce their leadership in the AI industry. At the same time, Anthropic secures long-term access to cloud resources and cutting-edge computing power, creating a strategic cycle in which all parties mutually benefit.
