The NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schröder for three games without pay following an off-court confrontation after a recent game, the league announced. Schröder was disciplined for confronting and attempting to strike another player in a hallway after a 125-101 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on December 28.
According to the NBA, the incident unfolded about 40 minutes after the final buzzer in the Crypto.com Arena. Schröder reportedly exited the locker room, searched for the player, and initiated the confrontation in an arena hallway. Several reports indicate the other player involved was Luka Dončić of the Lakers, with whom Schröder had exchanged heated words during the game.

The suspension begins this week and will cause Schröder to miss games against the Houston Rockets, the Lakers, and the New York Knicks. As a result, the Kings, currently struggling in the standings, will be without one of their key scorers and playmakers.
Will Schröder appeal the suspension?
It’s unclear. There has been no official announcement about an appeal, and the league’s decision appears firm pending any action from the player or his representatives.
