The famous city of Las Vegas, known for its casinos, shows, and nightlife, is facing an unexpected setback in its main economic engine: tourism. New data reveals that visitor arrivals have declined for the second consecutive year, raising alarms among hotels, casinos, and entertainment businesses.

According to recent reports, the city welcomed about 38.5 million tourists in 2025, representing a 7.5% drop compared to 2024, marking one of the most significant declines since the post-pandemic recovery.

One of the main factors affecting tourism is the sharp decrease in international visitors, especially from Canada, one of the most important markets for the local tourism economy. In some cases, the arrival of Canadian tourists has reportedly dropped between 20% and 50%, directly impacting hotels and casinos.

Additionally, rising prices for accommodation, food, and entertainment are discouraging many travelers, while some airlines have reduced the frequency of flights to the city.

How many tourists visited Las Vegas in 2025?

Approximately 38.5 million visitors, a lower figure than the previous year and confirmation that tourism has declined for the second consecutive year.
