Costco has issued an urgent recall for two of its popular refrigerated items: the Caesar Salad (item #19927) and the Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich (item #11444), after discovering a potential contamination with small plastic fragments in the dressing.
The affected batches include sell-by dates ranging from October 17 to November 9, 2025, and were distributed across Costco locations in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions of the United States. The alert is preventive, and Ventura Foods, the supplier responsible for the Caesar dressing, is currently working with Costco to determine how the contamination occurred.
As part of the recall, Costco is urging customers to stop consuming the products immediately and return them to any Costco warehouse to receive a full refund, no receipt required.
What should customers do if they have any of the recalled products at home?
They should stop eating them right away, place them in a sealed bag or container to avoid accidental consumption, and bring them to their nearest Costco for a full refund. Customers can also contact Costco’s customer service for additional guidance, especially if they believe they may have eaten a contaminated product.
