Recently, the controversial American football player Antonio Brown was arrested following a shooting incident in Dubai that reportedly took place after a boxing event held in Miami. According to local police, Brown was taken into custody by U.S. Federal Marshals in Dubai and transferred to Essex County, New Jersey, where he awaits extradition to Florida.

The court order states that Brown allegedly pulled out a firearm during an altercation and fired at least two shots at a man with whom he had a previous dispute. If convicted of second-degree attempted murder, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of approximately $10,000.

Why does this arrest shake the NFL world?

Because Antonio Brown is not just any player, he was an All-Pro wide receiver with more than 12,000 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns in his career. His long record of controversies and off-field issues once again raises concerns about the behavior and accountability of high-profile athletes.
