A Massive meteorite surprises the United States after lighting up the sky over Cleveland

A stunning astronomical event surprised thousands of people in the United States when a meteorite weighing around seven tons streaked across the sky near Cleveland in the state of Ohio. The bright fireball was visible across several states and produced a loud boom that many witnesses initially mistook for an explosion.

According to experts, the space rock measured about 1.8 meters (6 feet) in diameter and was traveling at roughly 72,000 kilometers per hour before breaking apart in the atmosphere. The event reportedly occurred over the area of Valley City and released a large amount of energy as it disintegrated.
